Aharon Appelfeld

Winner of the 1983 Israel Prize for Literature and the 1987 Harold U. Ribelow Prize, celebrated Israeli novelist Aharon Appelfeld was born in Czernovich, Bukovina, in 1932 and is a survivor of the Holocaust.
