Tom Maresca is the author of The Right Wine and Mastering Wine, which won the 1985 Cliquot Prize for best wine book. A contributing editor of Wine and Spirits, he writes regularly for major travel and food magazines. He is a professor of English at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, and lives in New York City.
