George Kaufman

Writer and director George S. Kaufman (1889–1961) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Along with Moss Hart, his collaborators included Edna Ferber, Ring Lardner, Morrie Ryskind, and Ira Gershwin. He won a Pulitzer Prize for Of Thee I Sing and You Can’t Take It With You.
