Darcey Steinke

Born in 1962, Darcey Steinke is also the author of Up Through the Water and Jesus Saves, both New York Times Notable Books of the Year. Her journalism has appeared regularly in Spin, George, The Guardian (London), Artforum, and The Village Voice. She teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and The New School. She grew up in Virginia and now lives in Brooklyn, New York.
