Ian Black

Ian Black, the co-author of Israel’s Secret Wars (1991), was the Guardian’s award-winning Middle East editor, after serving as its correspondent in Jerusalem, diplomatic editor and European editor. He also wrote the introduction to The Arab Spring: Revolution, Rebellion and a New World Order (2012) and Zionism and the Arabs (1986). He died in 2023.
