James Meek

James Meek was born in London in 1962 and grew up in Dundee, Scotland. The People’s Act of Love, his third novel, won the 2006 Ondaatje Prize and the Scottish Arts Council Book of the Year Award. In 2004 his reporting from Iraq and about Guantánamo Bay for the Guardian won a number of British and international awards.
