John O’Brien

John O’Brien was born in 1960 and lived most of his life in California until his death in 1994.

His first novel, Leaving Las Vegas was published in 1990 and made into a film of the same name in 1995. Two more of his novels were published posthumously: Stripper Lessons and The Assault on Tony’s, both of which had been left unfinished at the time of his death and were completed by his sister.
