At Grove Atlantic, we love putting books in the hands of energetic early readers! Through our Influencer Program, we aim to build community with book lovers and make it easy for influencers to read and review our titles.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Every quarter, we’ll send you an email with some upcoming releases we’re excited about. You just need to fill out the accompanying form letting us know which titles you’re interested in receiving for review. Each email will specify a one-week window for getting back to us, and you can request up to four titles at a time.

Who gets selected?

We look at a number of factors, including the size of our partners’ followings and their levels of engagement. Though we believe that engagement is the most important, we will only select accounts that have 1,000 followers or more. We are able to send physical copies only to addresses in the US, where our books are commercially distributed. We are committed to inclusiveness, and always work to be sure we’ve giving special consideration to readers from diverse and underrepresented communities.

I’m in the program! What happens if I start posting less?

Life gets busy sometimes! We get it. If you decide to go on brief hiatus, please email us to let us know that you’re on a hiatus and also let us know when you’re back to posting. We will keep your information in the program but pause our emails during your hiatus. However, if your account has been inactive for three months or more then we reserve the right to remove you from the program. If you take a long break and notice you’re no longer part of the program, you’re more than welcome to reapply!

What formats do you provide books in?

We provide print copies (ARCs) or finished books. If you are in the influencer program, you will also be whitelisted on NetGalley so you also have access to the digital edition.

Am I guaranteed to receive the books I request?

Quantities are limited so if we aren’t able to fulfill your request for a physical copy, you will also have access to digital versions of the books selected for the influencer program as well as other amazing upcoming Grove titles. However, if you have accessibility needs that prevents you from reading e-books then please let us know! We want to accommodate you to the best of our ability.

When I do receive a book, what’s required of me?

You are not required to post about the books you receive. We do hope you will read, enjoy, and spread the word about our books.

What needs to be disclosed in a post?

If you do want to promote the book, post an honest review, or otherwise share the book on social media please include one of the below in the post:

• A hashtag like #ad, #partner, or #sponsored
• Language like: “I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.”

We also ask that you tag us (@groveatlantic) and add the hashtag #grovereader, so we can be sure we see it. 

Where else should I post about the books I receive?

Again, you are not obligated to post about the books you receive. However, we do appreciate seeing your reviews on Goodreads, NetGalley, Amazon, and other online retailers.
